Commission by Minnesota Star Tribune Business Section to depict "King" and "Aristocrat" companies of dividend sharing.
The style should match a generic middle-age illustrated manuscript style with a modern twist since they are all
current brands and the characters should look like modern day executives.
I scanned, foto-retouched and collaged pieces of actual middle age jewellery to get the frame textures, as well as actual reproductions of middle age codex as sources for the crowns and garments. To mimic the precise feathering in the shading and inking I created a custom brush in Clip Studio Paint that ended up somehow being reminiscent of a wood carving.
